Oliver and Elizabeth Jane (Simmons) Price

Elizabeth Jane Simmons, was born on April 25,1859, near London, Middlesex Co., Ontario, Canada, likely in Lobo Township where her father received a Crown Patent for 100 acres in 1854. Elizabeth was a daughter of Erastus Simmons and Elizabeth Millard. She was living in Lobo Township near London when her father sold the family farm and immigrated to Missouri in the winter of 1867. The family settled in DeKalb County and made one crop before moving on to Saline County in the area around Sweet Springs.

Elizabeth was married on October 12, 1876, in Saline Co., Missouri, to Oliver Price who was born on July 16, 1853 in Belmont Co., Ohio.

Elizabeth died on November 17, 1885, in Saline County and was buried in Mount Zion Cemetery near Sweet Springs. Oliver then married Nancy Jane Crank who was born on January 21, 1865, and died March 16, 1933. Oliver died on April 3, 1942, and was buried next to Nancy in Ridge Park Cemetery in Saline County. Oliver and Nancy had two known children: Ethel Price, b. 1893; and Nellie Price, born September 10, 1894.
